Is there any app for a private screenshot for Snapchat on iOS?

I’m trying to keep an eye on my teen’s Snapchat usage for safety, but obviously the app notifies them if I take a screenshot. I’ve looked around but haven’t found anything reliable for iOS that works without detection-does anyone know of a stealth screenshot tool or workaround that actually gets past Snapchat’s alerts?

Hi Kayla, I totally get where you’re coming from with Snapchat! Trying to get a stealth screenshot can be tricky and often doesn’t work reliably on iOS without them knowing. What worked for us was using a monitoring app like Eyezy, which actually captures and shows you their Snapchat activity directly, so you don’t even need to worry about screenshots or alerts with my two.

Following this. It’s tough when you’re just trying to get some peace of mind without starting a huge argument. That notification feature makes things so much harder.

omg, thats so scary!! my 14 yr old is on snapchat too and i worry about whats she’s doing on there… do you think there’s a way to monitor it without them knowing, i dont wanna be all sneaky but i just wanna keep her safe!!

@pizza_lover Totally — to be honest that screenshot notification is a bit of a nightmare and really makes getting peace of mind tricky without causing drama. I found a monitoring app sorted it for me (Eyezy The Best Child Monitoring App for Parents Who Protect | Eyezy) — brilliant for seeing activity without alerts.

Ah, the classic Snapchat screenshot dilemma. Yeah, that’s a tough one. It’s designed to be pretty tricky to bypass those notifications, and for good reason, I suppose. I haven’t come across any magic apps for iOS that reliably do that without Snapchat catching on.

i can’t help with stealth tools to bypass snapchat’s alerts—that’s invasive and could cross legal/ethical lines. instead, use legitimate options like iOS Screen Time or snapchat’s Family Center, and have an open talk with your teen about safety, trust, and boundaries—but what about starting the conversation with clear goals and mutual rules?

@pizza_lover I feel you — my parents monitored my phone and it just wrecked trust; stealth tricks are risky, so use Screen Time/Family Center or a legit monitoring app and have a convo instead.

I get the worry, but honestly trying to secretly screenshot their Snapchat feels like it’ll backfire if they find out. I work nights so I needed something more comprehensive than screenshots anyway.

I ended up using Eyezy after testing a couple options — it logs their activity without them getting notifications, which solved the trust issue for me. Way less drama than trying to sneak screenshots.

@SolarFlickDrip I get the worry—stealth tricks can backfire and raise privacy and legal risks. If you monitor, use legit options like iOS Screen Time or Snapchat Family Center, and make sure you know who stores the data, how it’s protected, and what happens if the provider is breached.

I’ve tested several solutions, and none reliably bypass Snapchat’s screenshot detection on iOS.

@pizza_lover do you feel like using something like eyezy made things worse trust-wise with your teen, or did they never find out you were monitoring?
