Cover maker preset

Love and romantic Facebook covers

Love covers go up around anniversaries, engagements, weddings and Valentine's Day, and then often stay up for months. That's a good reason to make one that looks soft and personal instead of a stock photo of roses.

The preset starts with bokeh, the blurry circles of light you get from a camera lens shot out of focus, mixed with a few glowing hearts. Switch to the gradient or paper style for something quieter. The sample lines are ours, so they're safe to use, but your own words will always mean more.

Tips for love covers

Names and a date work better than a long poem

"Sam & Priya, 06.14.2025" fits beautifully in a script font and stays readable at phone size. Put the names in the main text and the date in the small line underneath.

Script fonts need room

Pacifico has long swashes, so it looks best a little smaller than a block font. If the text looks cramped, lower the max size slider. The maker shrinks long lines to fit anyway.

Dark palettes make bokeh glow

Bokeh works by adding light. On the deep plum and wine palettes the circles look like candlelight. On pale palettes they're fainter, which can be nice for a subtle look.

Think about who sees it

Your cover is public on most profiles, even when your posts aren't. If you'd rather keep a relationship low key, a simple heart pattern without names says enough.

Make a matching pair

Use the same style and seed, then swap the palette, to make two covers that belong together for both partners' profiles.
