Cover maker preset

Sports Facebook covers

A sports cover is mostly about colors. The right two or three colors say "this is our club" faster than any logo. This preset uses the geometric style with bold tiles and simple ball shapes, and Oswald for the type, a tall font that looks like a scoreboard.

Pro and college team logos, league marks and player photos are trademarks or copyrighted, so the preset uses none. Pick a palette close to your team's colors and fine-tune it with the color pickers. Colors on their own aren't anyone's property.

Tips for sports covers

Match your colors exactly

Click a color picker below the palettes and type your club's hex codes, if you know them. Put the main team color in the first two slots and the accent in the third.

Local clubs: a schedule line

"Season opener: Saturday 10 a.m." in the small line saves your Page a dozen messages. Change it as the season moves on.

Runners and cyclists: a goal

Put your next race or a distance you're working toward on the cover. It's a nice nudge every time you open the app.

Fans: colors over logos

You can show which team you support with colors and a line like "Sundays are for football" without using the team's logo. That keeps the cover yours and avoids trademark trouble.

Big shapes for motion

The waves style in team colors reads as speed and movement. Turn the density up on confetti for a stadium-crowd feel.
