Cover maker preset

Back to school Facebook covers

Back to school is the season for new covers: students starting a new grade, teachers setting up a classroom Page, parents marking a first day and graduates showing off a class year. This preset uses pencils and stars on notebook-paper colors, with a handwritten font that looks like chalk or marker.

The old category address was /facebook-cover/schools/, and it still works. School logos and mascots belong to the schools, so use colors instead, or ask your school for permission if it has an official logo you'd like to show.

Tips for back to school covers

Teachers: name and room

"Ms. Rivera's room" with the grade in the small line makes a classroom Page easy to recognize. Keep student photos off the cover; most schools have rules about where those can appear.

Graduates: the class year

"Class of 2027" in Abril Fatface or Oswald is a classic. Pick a palette close to your school colors and adjust it with the color pickers.

Chalkboard look

The dark green palette with cream text looks like a chalkboard. Use the paper style for a softer bulletin-board feel.

Parents: think about privacy

A first-day cover is lovely, but leave out the school's name and your child's full name. Covers are public on most profiles.

Clubs and PTAs

A school club or PTA Page can use the cover for the next big date: "Bake sale Friday" or "Fall fair Oct 18." Change it as events come and go.
