Cover maker preset

Support a cause Facebook covers

A cause cover tells everyone who visits your profile what you care about this month: a charity walk, an awareness week, a food drive or a neighbor who needs help. This preset uses paper-cut ribbons and hearts with a clean font, in palettes that line up with common awareness colors such as pink, blue, green and orange.

Charity logos and campaign artwork usually belong to the organization. Many charities offer official cover images for supporters, so check their website first. If they don't, a ribbon in their color and a short line does the job.

Tips for support causes covers

Say what people can do

"Walk with us, May 18" is more useful than a general message. Put the action in the main text and the organization's name in the small line.

Match the awareness color

Use the color pickers to set the exact shade. Awareness colors overlap between causes (pink, purple and blue each stand for several), so the words matter as much as the color.

Keep it hopeful

Covers that look calm and steady get more clicks on the fundraising link in your posts. Leave graphic images out; people scroll past them.

Don't imply endorsement

If you're raising money on your own, say "I'm walking for..." rather than making the cover look like an official charity page. The copyright guide covers logos.

Take it down when it's over

An old fundraiser cover can confuse people months later. Set a reminder to swap it when the campaign ends.
