Cover maker preset

Pet and animal Facebook covers

Pet covers are some of the happiest things on Facebook. A photo of your own dog or cat is hard to beat, and the maker won't try. This preset gives you a background to go with it: paw prints, bones and little hearts, or cut-paper paws on a cream background.

It also works well for animal rescues, groomers, pet sitters and dog walkers who need a cheerful cover for a Page and don't have a good photo yet.

Tips for pets & animals covers

Your pet photo can be the profile picture

Use your pet's face as the profile photo and a paw-print cover behind it. The two together look tidy, and the photo isn't squeezed into the cover's awkward shape.

Name the pet, not just the joke

"Biscuit, chief nap officer" is more fun than a generic line. Put the name first in the main text, or use the small line for it.

Rescues: one clear ask

For a rescue Page, use the cover for one message: "Adopt, foster, donate" or the date of your next adoption day. Details go in a pinned post.

Earthy palettes for farms and horses

The olive and caramel palette suits farm animals, horses and outdoor dogs. The pastel ones lean toward cats and small pets.

Avoid cartoon characters

Famous cartoon dogs and cats are trademarked characters. Paw prints say "pets" without borrowing anyone's mascot.
