Cover maker preset

Music Facebook covers

Music covers come in two kinds. Fans want something that says "music matters to me." Bands, DJs, teachers and choirs need a cover that tells people what they play and when. The waves style in a neon palette looks like a sound wave on a dark stage, and the bokeh style looks like stage lights out of focus.

Album art and band photos belong to the artists and labels, so this preset sticks to drawn notes and equalizer bars. If you're the artist, your own photos and artwork are yours to use.

Tips for music covers

Condensed type for gig posters

Oswald is tall and narrow, like the type on a concert poster. Set it in capitals if you like. It fits a band name and a date on one line.

Put the next date in the small line

"Live at the Riverside, Oct 12" in the small line gives your cover a job. Update it after each show.

Neon on black for nightlife

The pink, cyan and yellow on deep purple palette suits DJs and club nights. The cream and red palette looks more like a folk festival poster.

No lyrics

Song lyrics are protected even when they're short, and putting a famous line on a cover is the easiest way to run into trouble. Write your own line or use one of ours.

Teachers and choirs: keep it simple

A cover with your studio name, the instrument and "Lessons for all ages" is all most parents need. Put the contact details in your Page info.
